original character ficathon
signups for the original character ficathon are now open. :> you have until april 16. i'll send out fic assignments on april 17 and 18. if you haven't heard from me by the 19th, drop me an email, because it'll probably be my fault and completely unintentional.

stories are due by midnight on may 21. on may 22 i'll post a list of finished fics in my lj and put them on the web site.

note: those of you who've ~~jumped the gun~~ signed up already, if you want to refine/change your requests, here's your chance. otherwise i'll use your emails and responses to my previous post.

i think that's all the important information.... as always, if you have a question or a problem or whatever, drop me an email or post a response. i've never done this before so be gentle with me, but if something's not working for you, please tell me. i only want you should have fun.

What I want to read: Ummm . . hope this isn't too specific, but I spent most of the morning at work thinking about . . m/m, hurt/comfort/rescue type thing, snowy log cabiny trapped on the mountain in a blizzard for the rest of winter setting, and one of the pair is a shapeshifter. Heee! Oh, and I'm a traditional romancy kinda gal, so a developing relationship and a plot (or a hint of one) would be good.
Preferred rating: Well, NC17 cos gotta have smut! Violence - only if it's consensual or necessary to the plot (and yes, a plot IS necessary). Rawwr!
Things I don't want to read: kiddie porn. You write me kiddie porn and I'll vomit on your shoes then call the police. So there. ::looks firm:: And . . shapeshifter request aside, bestiality . . . shapeshifter in furry form is okay, non-sentient animal is not. But that's about it really. I have few squicks.
What I normally write: m/m in the fantasy genre at the moment, but I have some contemporary m/m and some straight, not romance/sex fantasy sci fi. I'm easy (and I admit it)and don't mind writing f/f, f/m or hell, something completely non slash! I'm quite happy to write something involving one of my current pairings if somebody wants them, or to come up with some completely new characters . . . what I'd really like to do is write a well-developed threesome of whatever gender combo. If anyone wants something like that that is.

is there anything you won't write: Same as what I won't read. Plus, I won't write fantasy, technical sci-fi or historical. Just don't wanna be involved in making up all the background details...
are you willing to write a back-up fic? Don't think so. I don't have much time to spare.

Genre(s): Sci-fi, present day, is Superhero a genre?, historical (to read)
Is there anything you don't want to read: No deliberate cruelty unless someone's sorry for it afterwards (like a fight and make up kinda thing, you know?)
What do you normally write: Strong people caught in difficult situations. And with the porn.
Preferred rating(s) to write: Can do anything. Don't care.
Genre(s): present day, spy stuff, sci-fi.
Is there anything you won't write: Historical fantasy. Get too hung up on the details.
